Yael Stein Yael Stein, who is Australian living in New York City since 2013 was the character Lorna Morrello's character in Orange Is the New Black. Yael graduated from NIDA. Yael despite her young years, has had the chance to study with Australia's most renowned storytellers. Yael is a renowned actor with a thriving career in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael's move to New York City began when the production received a prestigious review at Brooklyn Academy of Music. Yael is the co-founder of The Cannery. The Cannery promotes creative writing, and creative endeavors from it's Bushwick studio.
